ABOUT BYHAZE

I am a creative content entrepreneur dedicated to advancing my community through sonic healing, visual evolution, and artistic philanthropy.

ByHaze is more than just an artist—he is an architect of transformation. A singer, songwriter, and creative entrepreneur, his work exists where artistry meets wellness, blending music, dance, affirmations, and community-centered creativity into spaces of healing and connection.

Rooted in the philosophy of UBUNTU—“I am, because you are”—ByHaze invites audiences into an experience where music becomes medicine and performance becomes communion. His “Repeat After Me” affirmation series on TikTok, followed by more than 130,000 people, has become a daily ritual for many seeking encouragement and alignment. His debut mixtape Clarity, along with its acoustic companion EP, showcases not only his sonic versatility but also his dedication to creating experiences that shift energy. Featuring the breakout single Magnetic, along with meditative layers of singing bowls, wind chimes, and acoustic instrumentation, the project reached #8 on the iTunes R&B Charts during its release week and expanded into live acoustic performances and visual meditations.

Audiences leaving a ByHaze performance often describe feeling lighter, seen, and spiritually recharged—as if joy and healing are woven into every note. His artistry offers not just sound, but resonance: a transmutation of energy that lingers long after the last chord fades. With clients and collaborators spanning Coachella, Afropunk, Meta, Sunglass Hut, and more, and as founder of Camp Clarity, ByHaze continues to build bridges between creativity and consciousness through sound bath experiences, transformative retreats, and strategic cultural consulting.

ByHaze’s mission is clear: to use music and movement not only to entertain but to awaken, to remind communities of their wholeness, and to leave behind stages that feel more like sanctuaries.

CAMP CLARITY ORIGINS

Camp Clarity was born at an artist retreat I curated in July 2019. After touring for eight months while balancing my nonprofit work, I experienced burnout that led to me losing my voice and not being able to speak for 2-4 weeks. During that time I had to be silent, listen and only communicate through writing and texting, which pushed me to understand my capacity more and hwo I was putting myself and my health last. Sound healing was a space where I could experience stillness and ease and it became a modality that helped me heal myself with sound when my voice couldn’t.

After hosting strategic retreats for my nonprofit organization, Them Clouds Kids, to combat burnout & build camaraderie, I learned of the healing benefits. Like the retreats, the music I create promotes healing and introspection, and it inspired me to create a visual that highlighted best practices.

I teamed up with my director friends to make a film that showcased Black Creatives practicing self-care together at a retreat to inspire others to do the same. After securing the date & an off-grid location, I invited my artistic tribe to attend this weekend; the retreat aligned with three powerful performances I had for NJPAC, Afropunk Battle of the Bands, and SOBs. The retreat timing served as an opportunity for my creative friends and me to recharge, reset and prepare while creating something timeless. I realized how much space can build camaraderie and skill amongst my creative friends; thus, Camp Clarity was born.

The retreat's goal is to offer a space to unplug, recharge, and prepare through strategic planning sessions for their creative goals.

Participants learn skills in workshops that allow them to leave with a tangible list of things to do and a timeline to complete them. Retreat experiences are curated locally and internationally and include healthy food options, nature excursions, and group workshops. All activities and excursions are curated to support the local businesses in the retreat area to show the benefits of cooperative economics & social enterprise.
